THANKSGIVING!!!!!!!

Hi all. Wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. We were going to do the turkey trot at Crystal Lake Park in Urbana today but since it is such a lovely day (NOT)! Looking forward to eating this dinner at 3pm. Going to just use portion control and enjoy this day. I deserve it lol. I am a lil upset because Tuesday I was suppose to find out about the family Blake and I adopted but still have not heard anything and can't get ahold of anyone. I was hoping to shop for them tomorrow but can't now plus don't have money anyways. Well again Happy Thanksgiving and enjoy the time with your families:))))))))

Christmas

Good evening. I wanted to share with all of you what I did today. I was at work and needed to call the Salvation Army in regards to my after school progam ringing the bell. As I was scrolling down the list of winter volunteering I saw adopting a family. I thought hmm what is this, so I read the insert and thought it would be awesome if Blake and I did this. We were already going to ring the bell and this is another opportunity to help. I spoke with the director and I chose a family of 4 and will get the rest of the info on Tuesday. We are going to deliver personally so we will get to meet the family. Blake and I talked about how when we were younger our families made sure we had a great christmas. We want to be able to help others have the same joys during the holidays as we did. I am asking that if you can help out rather you ring the bell or adopt a family please do and remember the feelings you had as a kid.

Good Night

Challenge!!!!!

Good Morning all my faithful followers. As some of you know I have this thing about weighing myself everyday or all the time. I like to wait 6weeks before I get on the scale. I'm not sure if some of you are "scale happy" but my challenge to you is to try not weighing yourself for 6 weeks. Trust me when you do get on the scale you will be shocked. Well I am off to do school work have a good day. Let me know who is up for the challenge.

Tonights Meeting

So tonights meeting for the weight loss challenge went good. We weighed in and got our measurements. I didn't look at the scale as I don't look until every 6 weeks. It is very motivating considering you have to pay $1 for every lb. gained. So tomorrow I will be walking whether its cold or not. Well going to bed. Night all:)

Sunny Day

Although it is cold it is sunny out. I am at school just got done with lunch (leftover subway from Blakes birthday dinner) waiting to go to work. I am super excited about tonight, blake, myself, and his family are going to a weight loss challenge put on by a local town. They will weigh us and take our measurements and there is a cash price for the winner. So we are all excited to see what this is about. Well I will post after the meeting. Have a good day all:))))))

Evolve Fitness Center/Champaign, IL

I am working with Evolve on starting a weight loss program and super excited. I will be the ambassador for the gym and the goal is to have a commercial from heavy to healthy. I want to help others who are out there like me and let them know you can do it with exercise and diet. I am not a model who is photo shopped or airbrushed, I am real. If I know I helped at least one person while on this journey, then I know this will have been a SUCCESS!!! Look for more information to come and if you are in the Champaign, IL area you can visit Evolve Fitness Center at:

-10lbs

I must say it is amazing the difference I feel with 10lbs gone. I am a college student and can now walk around the school without being winded, take the stairs instead of the elevator, sleep better and just feel better. I can't wait to see what the future holds.

Blake's Birthday Breakfast

Today is my boyfriends 24th birthday. So I go up this morning and made HG (Hungry Girl) Gooey Cinnamon Rolls, Egg Beaters, and Turkey bacon. This was an AMAZING breakfast and would like to give all of you the recipe for the cinnamon rolls.

gooey cinnamon rolls with cream cheese icing

Ingredients
For Dough
1 pkg Pillsbury Reduced Fat Crescent Rolls refrigerated dough
16 sprays I Can't Believe It's Not Butter! Spray

For Filling
1/4 cup dark brown sugar (not packed) I used splenda brown sugar
1/4 cup Splenda No Calorie Sweeener (granulated)
1/2 tablespoon light whiped butter or light buttery spread, room temperature
1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon salt

For Icing
1/4 cup Cool Whip Free, thaw
3 Tablespoons fat-free cream cheese, room temperature
1 Tablespoons Splenda

Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
To make filling, combine all ingredients in a medium bowl, stirring well to make sure the butter gets mixed in evenly, set aside.

To make icing, combine all ingredients in a small bowl and mix until smooth and blended. Place in the fridge to chill and set.

Prepare a dry surface by sprinkling it with a small amount of flour to prevent sticking. Remove dough from package and knead into a ball.

Using a rolling pin dusted lightly with flour, very firmly roll out dough into a thin sheet about 8 inches by 12 inches. Spray the dough's sureface evenly with butter.

Spread filling out evenly over the dough, leaving aa 1/2inch border around the edges.

Starting with a long side of the dough, roll it up tightly, forming a log. Once dough is completely rolled up, pinch the long seam to seal.

Turn the log over so that the seam is facing down. Using a very sharp knife, cut log into 8 even pieces, being careful not to squish the dough.

Spary a baking pan with nonstick spary and arrange pieces of dough in the pan with swirl sides facing up. Use your hands to firmly press down on the tops of the pieces. Pinch the side seams to seal, if necessary.

Cover pan with foil. Bake in oven for 8 minutes.

Remove foil and return pan to oven. Bake for and additional 5 minutes, or until cinnamon rolls have risen and are slightly browned on top.

Evenly distribute icing over cinnamon rolls and then enjoy!

Makes 8 servings
